[HCDX] ...only somewhat 'on-topic'...

Hi all,

here's a question to all NRD-525G users: a good friend of mine got
himself a used 525 which seems in very good condition, with all filters,
the TCXO etc. No users or service manual though. Doesn't matter much
either. What he's interested in are 'hidden functions' which are not
mentioned in either manual.

E.G.: in his NRD-345, when pressing MEMO upon power-up, this deletes all
memories (!!!). When pressing MODE upon power-up, you can turn that
annoying (or maybe not) BEEP on or off, when pressing CLR upon power-up,
this resets both VFOs to certain parameters - etc., etc.

Does the 525 have such functions??? Can anyone point me to sources on
the web or relate their own experiences??? Possibly off-list as the
majority of good folks on the list will probably not be too interested
in these matters...
