Mark- Read your nice log (below)  Here is my first log on MW for this year.
Strictly TA, my other antennas (long wires) are inoperative but hope to
restore soon. I have been "Off the air, so to speak, fighting a little
prostate battle probably successfully at leastr for the near term! So my
energy is restored etc...

Erik speaks:  First venture into Broadcast band DX this year, Static levels
milder than I would have guessed. However, local signals seem much stronger
with many up to high power now. Also unhappy to notice that WBZ is using
digital modulation and literally consumes over 30 KHz of bandwidth centered
on their channel of 1030 Khz. The noise spectrum is very loud-ditto for WOR
(710). If they extend use to night hours we are in for very tough listening
on DX. There must be a better way!
