[HCDX] CBU 690 off tonight -- sadly CBU not 50 kw (day or night)
I have always been of the opinion that CBU 690 should be at 50 kW, day or
night.
CBU fills a role similar to KFBK 1530 and KGO 810 (both @ 50 kW), but not
during nighttime hours when it is 5 kW.
I assume that CBU is still running with a tube transmitter, as I don't
believe that the CBC-SRC has fully replaced its MW network with 100% solid
state (class D) transmitters.
> For MW buffs, CBU 690 will be off the air between 0100 and 0300 local
> (Pacific daylight savings time) for transmitter maintenance overnight
> tonight. Heard them announce this on my drive home.
