chatter which left the frequency after a few minutes,
w/ very brief choral mx bits during breaks, brief
ballad at 1024 into OM tlks, "hams" take over at 1024,

7270, INDIA, AIR Chennai, 1154-1215*, Sept.26, Tamil?,
Hindi mx and OM w/ long, fast-paced tlk, more mx until
1214 when OM w/ s/off anmts, positive ment. "All India
Radio" and (p) frequency listings. Weak but audible w/
co-channel "ham" traffic. (Barbour-NH)

7380, RUSSIA?, R.Maryja, 2140-2200*, Sept.23, PL/EG,
OM and YL w/ prayers, YL w/ nx at 2145, ment's
Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiyah, brief mx bits and tlks,
fanfare (NA?), OM and YL w/ s/off anmts in PL and EG.

9770, SRI LANKA, SLBC,R.Sri Lanka, *1230-1243,
Sept.26, EG, Txmitter tones, s/on w/ IS, pips (4+1),
announcer w/ ID and s/on anmts then US pops by
Santana, Elton John and 3 Dog Night, tlks at 1243 but
signal had faded substantially by then. Weak but
audible, good mx/poor vox audio. Very pleased to log
this station, tried all last winter to no avail!

relay, 0017-0032, Sept.25, PT, 2 OM w/ futbol
half-time prg, zinger mx and prolonged "GOAL!!",
jingle w/ ment. "Brasil" and back to live game
coverage. Fair w/ prop. QRN (Barbour-NH)

I am keeping an eye out for the UPS truck as I
purchased a Icom R75, with FREE UT-106 DSP upgrade,
via Universal Radio this past Wednesday. I'm really
looking forward it.
