[HCDX] RE: CHU off ?
If any consolation, during my trips to Île-Bizard (about 190 kilometers from Ottawa where CHU transmitt and 14 kilometers from my home QTH in the Montreal suburb of Pierrefonds), CHU was very poorly audible on 7335 and wasn`t audible at all on 3330 kHz. They are certainly on lower power.
I tried to get them a few times on 14670 here at home, but never succeded. Perphaps, they skip over me ?
Congratulations for picking up WDHP out of the Virgin Islands. I ID`ed them once the past season in December and they were coming in at fair levels. Never caught WTAW though. Good luck on getting a firm ID from them. My only Texans so far are WPAB on 820 from Forth Warth and tentative KRLD-1080 from Dallas.
I would like to visit New Zealand once. A lot of Trans-Pacific DX is reported from there and even some long-path European MW DX. Great place ! I listen to Radio New Zealand International from time to time on 17675 and they often play excellent music. Very great radio station ! It``s my only NZ catche on any broadcast band.
The only Canadian I got on 6160 is CKZN, I hope to get the Vancouver station one day.
Regards,
73 and good DX,
Bogdan Chiochiu
