[HCDX] Logs from NH, July 15-16

Greetings from NH! Yesterday I fired up the coffee pot
and settled in with the radio, will probably do the
same today as it is raining outside. 

I have posted these 3 logs at the top as I think these
are of the most interest.

(Found this one while scanning around,  waiting for
Liberia s/on!)

4765, CONGO(REP.), R.Congo, 0552-0603, 16/07, FR.  End
of mx, YL w/ "Radio Congo" ID, tlk w/ several ment's.
"Congo". Mx and ID at ToH, also ID as "Radio
Nacional". Poor, weak and quickly faded under static. 

4770, NIGERIA, R.Nigeria,Kaduna, 0532-0545, 16/07, EG.
Continuos pop ballads by YL, ID over mx, "This is the
English service of Radio Nigeria, Kaduna", followed by
an unintelligible announcement. I think this is
signing on at 0530 instead of usual 0430 as I have not
logged this at 0430 in over a week, can anyone else
verify this? I will check tonite.

7110, ETHIOPIA (pres), R.Ethiopia, 0333-0404, 16/07,
Ahmaric. OM w/ tlks and various mx bits featuring Horn
of Africa style mx, tenative ment. "Ethiopia". Piano
at 0400, followed by brief tlk, 3 tones, more tlk,
then signal deteriorates rapidly. Weak, poor.

3240, SWAZILAND, TWR, *0300-0310, 16/07, EG/Vern. IS,
EG ID, "This is Trans World Radio", followed by OM in
Vern w/ same over mx, continuos rel tlks until signal
lost under slop at 0310. Poor.

4760, LIBERIA, ELWA Radio, *0606-0614, 16/07, EG. S/on
w/ choral mx and long tlk by OM, more mx and (p) ID at
0613, too weak to get any readable copy. Poor.
5026, BENIN, R.Diff.Benin, 2250-2301*, 15/07, FR/EG.
Pop ballads in FR, Elton John "Sacrifice" in EG, cut
off for NA, No ID noted. Weak but in the clear. 

5030, BURKINA FASO, R.Burkina, 2334-0000*, 15/07, FR.
OM w/ pop, rap and reggae mx, tlks b/w songs, ment's
of "Ouagadougou" and "Burkina Faso", ID, YL w/ s/off
anmt, NA? (sounded like lounge music!). Good.

5100, USA, WBCQ (tests), 2302-2333, 15/07, EG.
Chritian Media Network programming with ads for
Collodial silver, water filters, rel prg. ment.
broadcasting on "WBCQ 9335", real "fire and
brimstone". Good. 

7275, TUNISIA, RTV Tunisienne, 0506-0512, 16/07, AR.
Various mx selections, // 7190, Good

9465, AUSTRIA, FEBA Radio, 0033-0046, 16/07, EG/Vern.
Prg. "Spotlight" re "lightning", credits, web info,
IS, OM w/ ID in Vern. followed by SE Asian style mx.
Fair tho noisy, splatter via VO Turkey, 9460.

9580, BOSNIA, Serbia-Montenagro Radio relay,
0003-0014, 16/07, EG. YL w/ nx re US, Serbia trade
relations, Press Review. ID as "This is the Int'l Svc
of Serbia-Montenagro" tho still using the "Radio
Yugoslavia" jingle after the nx. Fair.

15150, INDONESIA, VO Indonesia, 1904-1924, 15/07, FR.
OM and YL w/ nx re GW Bush and Botswana, several mx
selections featuring soem nice "island" mx, ID at
1920, Fair.

15155, INDIA, AIR Aligarh, 1925-1936, 15/07, EG. Hindi
mx at t/in, ID and schedule for Africa at BoH, OM w/
commentary, back to mx. Fair mx, weak vox audio.
