1200 unID, NOS mx at 2034 EDT way over CFGO
The Team; probably a station somewhere in New England (Chiochiu-QC)
1320 CKEC New Glasgow, NS presumed with nx at 2202
EDT with a very good signal but with QRM from a nearby computer. Not even the
faintest traces of WTAR or CJMR ! (Chiochiu-QC)
1450 unID listened to from about 2040 EDT to
an hour after with mostly NOS music, though also heard a smooth R&B song
from 2002 (they sounded a lot like WPTR). Heard some announcements and
one possible slogan, but not even the faintest ID. Occasionnally under the
'graveyard' jumble, but usually atop with a very strong signal !

1880 CINW 9-40 News; 2nd harmonic from my 940 kHz
local with news and announcements // 940 (1880 was very good and 940 was
excellent and extremely strong, of course), noted around 1335 EDT

29 0123 - Tentative with American music. No sign of Radio Tachira at all, either

APR 28 2337 - Arabic music; fair to poor. They are usually very strong !

Bangui APR 28 2240-2241 - Poor with QRM from a computer with talk in

5047 TOGO, Radio Togo, Lomé APR 28 2242 -
Tentative; very poor (Chiochiu-QC)
6030 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Radio Marti,
Greenville-NC - at 2324 excellent with news item about Fidel Castro. Not even
the faintest trace of the Cuban bubble jammer ! (Chiochiu-QC)
15300 FRANCE, RFI to Africa, Issoudun APR 28
2105 - Very strong with news in French. (Chiochiu-QC)
15345 ARGENTINA, RAE Radio Argentina al Exterior,
Buenos Aires APR 28 2245 - presumed at Fair to good levels with non-stop
classical music (some of the songs may have been instrumental tangos).

106.1 CANADA, CHEZ, Ottawa, ON APR 28 2027 EDT - in and out via
tropo-scatter with rock music (Chiochiu-QC)

Equipment: Sangean 606 with long-wire outdoor and
using it's own telescopic whip for hearing Ottawan FM
Yesturday while doing a homework I did listen to SW
and some MW stuff using the Sangean 606 in my room with the long-wire antenna
outdoor. The two biggest highlights were hearing a GYer on 1450 with a relativly
steady signal and NOS mx as well as getting Radio Marti on 6030 with not even
the faintest trace of the cuban bubble jammer co-channel tx. Some smaller
highlights were hearing tentative Africans with too weak to be IDable signals on
5025, 5030 and 5047 kHz before sunset !
During the past few days, on 1 or 2 occasions I did
note a het on 17835 with bits of soft Spanish gospel mx once for a second or so,
but not enough to confirm it was Radio Imperial.
