5025v Benin R.Diffusion,Parakou 2236-2303* 03/26 EG/FR. Continuos EG pop mx w/ Elton John, Bryan Adams (twice!), Phil Collins, etc. OM in FR w/ s/off anmt, NA. Weak, tho clear, with prop. fades/flutter.
5970 UAE, Dubai R.Japan/NHK relay 2211-2236 03/26 JP. OM and YL w/ several ments "Tokyo", tlks re America and Iraq; field rpts. ID at 2229. More nx and rpts. Good w/ QRM splatter via BBC, Antigua 5975.(One of several additional frequencies added by NHK due to war in Iraq)
6245 Russia R.Gardarika relay via St.Petersburg 2150-2201* 03/25 ,with massive QRM bursts, 5-15 seconds apart. 2123-2201* 03/26 with shorter, more tolerable QRM bursts, spaced approx. 60 seconds apart.
RS pop mx and ballads w/ OM IDs b/w songs. S/off routine over lite jazz mx, repeated twice, beggining at 2156 w/ YL ment. "St.Petersburg", OM ment. "25 kilohertz, 49m band", YL ment. "telephone" then OM read numbers ( 7812-??-29801), YL w/ e-mail (studio.??ru.) and PO address. IDs, OM w/ "Nevskyana Volna", YL w/ "R.Gardarika". Off at 2201 sharp both days.
