Re: [HCDX] IRAQ 846 kHz

Yes, 846 kHz is nowadays a good frequency to monitor Iraq. In the article "Monitoring Iraq: War of the Airwaves" at http://www.dxing.info/articles/iraq.dx I'm trying to keep track of all broadcasting to and from Iraq, and any observations on active stations would be most welcome.

It would be quite interesting to know the number of  active MW-outlets of REPUBLIC OF IRAQ RADIO. Listened to their General Service last night   2220 to 0013 UTC on 846 kHz. This is their 300 kW transmitter in Nasiriya. First there was a programme that sounded like an interview of Saddam, both in English and Arabic. Clear ID after the news in Arabic 0005 UTC. They went off the air 0013 UTC. 73´sJouko HuuskonenTurku FINLAND Rx: AOR 7030+Ant: Wellbrook ALA 1530P-loop
