[HCDX] Brazil 9665 kHz
Hi,
it was mentioned here that Radio Nacional from Brasilia 980 kHz is relayed on 9665
kHz.
Today I payed more attention to this frequency than usual and I found out that the
transmitter started at 0700 UTC with a relay of Radio Nacional da Amazonia!
WRTH lists Radio Marumby from Florianopolis (Santa Catarina) on this frequency.
Although it is a bit strange that a station in southern Brazil relays Radio Nacional
da Amazonia from the north, both areas are in the same time zone (UTC -2 h) and what
more - I heard a phone call from Sao Paulo!
Reception conditions in the 31 mb here in the middle of Europe are quite good from
south-east coast of Brazil at this time.
So it really seems that this northern station from Amazonia is relayed in the almost
southernmost state of Brazil.
There were many transmitter breaks today, so when somebody was just tuning across the
band, he could easily miss the station.
GOOD DX,
