CKEC 1320 from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia is in with
poor to occasionally good signal since at least 1:58 PM when I caught a C&W
song followed by a newscast, then wx wich mentionated it was 1 degree Celsius in
New Glasgow followed bya Hot-AC song. Not bad, especially considering it's full
daylight and right now it's only 2:07 PM in Montreal (1407 EST and 1907
UTC).
Some skywave even close to mid-day with weak to
good fading signal from NYC (WQEW - Radio Disney) on 1560. This is
local-like at night !
Had no school today; here in Canada we often have
the so-calle pedagogical day when the teachers meet in the begiinign or end of
the holidays before the school officially begin. I profited to send a .MP3
recording of CFVM received by the Finish DX'er Ahonen Tuomo to the station's
e-mail address.
Condx really look good today and CKEC from northern
Nova Scotia is a good indication for good high-latitude paths from wich most of
the trans-atlantic signals came. I hope to get some good TA audio on the
longwave and mediumwave bands; I never IDed any trans-atlantic DX
yet.
That's it for now !,
73 and good DX,
Bogdan Chiochiu
