[HCDX] Release of RxWings v1, THE control program for the AR7030, NRD535 and RX320

RxWings version 1 has been released today.
RxWings is a freeware program to support ShortWave
Listening with the HF receivers AR7030 from AOR, the
NRD-535(D) from JRC and the RX320 from Ten Tec.

The program give support to the following SWL activities :
+ Use of different types of frequency databases, especially
ILG, for both querying and tracking
+ Logging of received transmissions
+ Analysis of received signal: S meter, spectrum, propagation
+ (Virtual) Memory management
+ Programming for unattended reception
+ Full direct control of your receiver

The program integrates the functionality of its predecessors
Paradise (PD7030V4)) for the AR7030 and TURBO535
(T535V6) for the NRD-535 and extend it to the RX320 while
at the same time a number of refinements have been brought in :
- changing the frequency with your mousewheel
- tracking can now be used in combination with almost all
  other database windows,
- frequency history and frequency scratchpad to go back easily
  to an earlier tuned frequency,
- with one mouse click part of the data in the tracking window
can be copied to the 'Add Log' window.
- the last location of each window will be remembered and used
the next time this window is opened.

If you want to know more before downloading the application
archives you can download just the doc. file RxWings1H.zip
(a zipped HTML Helpfile, incl 50 screenshots, 0.9 MB)

In case you want directly download the program, look for the
files RxWings1A.ZIP (2.8 MB) and RxWings1B.ZIP (3MB).

The files can be found via my homepage or you can go directly
to ftp://ftp.funet.fi/pub/ham/rigctrl/

After downloading the archives unzip both (the classic way) in a
temporary directory and then run the setup program from this
directory to install all necessary directories and files.
The HTML Helpfile RxWings1.chm, then found in the application
main directory, will answer most questions about the use of the
program. But if any question remain unanswered don't hesitate to
contact me.

See you, Jan
