[HCDX] Europirate info sources
Re : Europirate info sources
In the past weeks (along with the rise of activity on higher bands)
there have been numerous requests for address or e-mails of
those 'Europirates', mainly from HOL or 'Benelux'.
There are 2 large electronic info sources for these pirates
(Note : I work for both of these and I can suggest both) :
1 - SRS News at http://www.srs.pp.se
2 - Dr. Tims News at http://www.doctortim-news.de.vu/
SRS News are in English, they contain logs and news from contri-
butors from all over Europe and are available in text or pdf version.
The price is 2 USD per year, the SRS homepage only gives a
resticted version of the news. SRS News are taking a rather conser-
vative approach on pirate radio logging. They are a good opportunity
if an operator wants to see how he has been heard in different regions
of Europe. SRS News come out on Monday at 1900 UTC.
Questions to jonny@xxxxxxxxx .
Dr. Tims News are in German, they contain logs and news from
Dr. Tim himself and his contributors, mainly from Germany and
Benelux and they are available in text version only. The price is
'free', Dr. Tims homepage gives the full version of the news.
Dr. Tims News are taking a rather 'yellow press' approach on pirate
radio logging. They are a good opportunity if you want to read rumors
or gossip or want to spread your own 'message'. But they do contain
lots of facts too thanks to Dr. Tims excellent contacts to 'Holland'
Dr. Tims News come out on late Sunday via a yahoo-based mailing
list. Questions to DoctorTim@xxxxxxxxxxx
And there are of course more (but smaller) regular bulletins with logs,
like the one from Bruno Pecolatto and the one from Northlight Radio.
For the address information there are :
1 - Pirate Radio Address List from SRS Germany
2 - Free Radio Homepage von Hans-Joachim Koch
The Pirate Radio Address List from SRS Germany is issued by
myself. It contains on 30 A4 pages 1850 pirates (SW and MW)
from everywhere, from 1995 until today. You can get it in a printed
version or each month via E-mail as a PDF-file. In this case the
price is 2 USD for 1 year. More information about it at
http://www.schoechi.de/pwdb-pir.html
At http://www.schoechi.de/pwdb-ema.html you can find a free
page with all the e-mails and www's for the pirates that are
included in my list.
Re : Free Radio Homepage von Hans-Joachim Koch. The page at
http://metropolis.de/freeradio.html is not updated at the moment
and does not contain links to the address information that has
been there before ..
Hope these few links have been useful for you. More information or
links or address problems upon request from me.
