Re: [HCDX] Radio Caroline on 945 kHz

Radio Caroline is testing via Latvia 945 kHz (150 kW) from this morning at 0600 UTC continiously for 24 hrs till Sunday morning at 0600 UTC. Read more here: http://www.radiocaroline.co.uk/latestnews.htm

Reception quiality here in Denmark was so so this morning - sometimes with a lot of interference from Classic Gold in Derby, UK, on same channel. Also - when using a ND aerial - some problems with Toulouse. Signal strenght however from Latvia was good. On my car radio however - no signal at all. But reception fairly OK on my portable Sony ICF5900 in my bathroom :-)

Daytime reception (at 1130-1300 UTC) here was fair with a fair signal from Latvia - however with some statics and some deep fades. No interference from other stations.

>From around 1300 UTC signal strenght was gradually starting to pick up, and right now - while writing this at 1330 UTC reception is perfect here with a solid 9+10 signal and no interference.

Nice to hear Caroline back on the air. I lost it when they left the analogue transponder on Astra.
