of audio, impossible to decipher, but I suspect this may indeed be
Phnom-Penh, and if not, who else could it be? Worth monitoring as it

GUAM 13362.0, 0514-, AFRTS Dec 8 Good reception on this, not split
frequency, with count down music program. No other AFN frequencies in

ISRAEL 11605, 0505-, VOICE OF ISRAEL Dec 4 Excellent reception with IBA
English news regarding the crisis occurring in the Middle East. Best
frequency. Others heard in parallel, 17544.95 good, 9434.98 good+,
nothing on 6280. Into Russian briefly at 0515, but tx left the air within

JAPAN 9760, 04:54-, NSB Tokyo 2 Dec 8 Not usually reported at this time,
but it's here with good reception with rapid talk by OM in Japanese.
Suspect it's a ?horse race, as the tempo and pitch of the announcer
increased. At same time 9595 NSB Tokyo 1 is audible with same level.

KUWAIT 15505, 0506-, R.KUWAIT Dec 8 Arabic news program, with mentions of
Washington and Bush. Good reception. Parallel 15495 to Africa only poorly

SAO TOME 7105, 0530-0530*, VOICE OF AMERICA Dec 8 VOA in Hausa signing
off, overlapping for a few seconds with BBC Ascension Is signing on in
Hausa. Both good strength. (Salmaniw, Victoria, BC, Canada)

UKRAINE 7285, 1956-, R.UKRAINE INTERN. Dec 8 Sign of the winter season.
noon local, and I'm receiving RUI with Ukrainian music program with fair
reception. Only occurs in the deepest of the winter months. I've heard
Radio Polonia on 49 and 31 meters around the same time of the year as

UKRAINE 7375, 0453-, R.UKRAINE INTERN. Dec 4 English program at good
level. Interesting was that parallel 7285 was almost at the same level,
while 9610 was inaudible. 7420 was barely audible. (Salmaniw, Victoria,

VATICAN STATE 15570, 0503-, VATICAN RADIO Dec 8 English programming with
African accented English speaker with African Christian news. Fair
