DID YOU KNOW THAT...
Ruthenian (or Rusinian) language, spoken in eastern part of Slovakia,
Europe, was codified in 1995.
The language is based on Ukrainian with elements adopted from dialects
spoken in eastern Slovakia.
Ruthenian is one of languages Slovak Radio broadcasts in for national
minorities in Slovakia (Ukrainian is another one).
Longer transmissions in Ruthenian are on the air on Saturdays and Sunday in
the morning on 1071 kHz (Presov, 40 kW).
