[HCDX] News programmes in Dari and/or Pashto from Voice of America and BBC

Hello,

I just surfed to Radio Netherlands Media Network's-Homepage(RNMN). According
to their homepage Voice of America extended its programmes in Dari and
Pashto on Monday October 8 for the second time since the terrorist attacks
of September 11. Both programmes now have an overall output of 2,5 hours per
day. According to the IBB schedule (edition: Oct 11, 0440 GMT) another 30
minutes have been added in Dari from 1900-1930 and Pashto from 1830-1900
both on 9600 via Udon Thani in Thailand, 12030 and 13725 via Iranawila, Sri
Lanka. Reception on all frequencies is excellent here in Central Europe.

Quote from RNMN:
"The expanded broadcasts allow VOA to include messages aimed at convincing
the Afghan people that the  military operation now underway is not aimed at
them, but rather Osama bin Laden. They will also draw attention to
humanitarian food drops that are being conducted concurrently with the
airstrikes, and send the message that the Taliban are not a proper
government..."

The official VOA-Homepage doesn't yet lists these additions.

BBC too has extended programmes in Pashto to Afghanistan. According to BBC's
Pashto homepage this is the actual schedule as seen on Oct 11 at 1820 UTC:

0100-0130 ("dawn programme") on 11685, 13780, 15380, 17640
0830-0900 (new "mid-day programme") on 11685, 17640
1530-1615 ("evening programme") on 6195 (for Afghans in Europe), 11685,
15380, 17640
1130-1230 ("Home and Environment", Thursday only) on 15380, 17640
0745-0945 ("Music programme", Fridays only) on 15380, 17640
0330-0415 ("REACH/Drama") on 11820, 13635
0800-0830 ("REACH", repeat) on 12030, 15170, 17720
1400-1430 ("REACH", repeat) on 15470, 17860

I didn't found any reference that all programmes listed are in Pashto.
