open carrier, have been testing nonstop this entire week with a motley
variety of nostalgia and Big Band tunes, some Christmas songs, as well as
some 50s oldies.  Voice announcements such as: “Prime Time AM 740 is now
test broadcasting in order to bring you the best music ever made, from Glenn
Miller and Perry Como, to Anne Murray, Dionne Warwick and Céline Dion.
Premiering Monday, January 8th, this is Prime Time Radio, AM 740”. (MKB-ON)

810 WHB Kansas City, MO Dec. 22 0751 poor in WGY null w/ID as “Sports Radio
810 WHB”, into talk about this weekend’s upcoming NFL games.  First time
heard since frequency swap w/KCMO; KCMO-810 QSLed in 1979. (MKB-ON)

950 WBBF Rochester, NY Dec. 21 1756 Returned to old calls (and presumably
simulcasting their FM on 93-point-something MHz), w/slogan “more music,
great oldies on 93 BBF” into Beatles’ You’re Gonna Lose That Girl.  (MKB-ON)

1620 WTAW College Station, TX Dec. 21 0105 fighting nulled WHLY w/CBS news,
PSA for credit counseling, ID as “News talk 1620 WTAW”.  (MKB-ON)

1660 KQWB West Fargo, ND Dec. 17 0100 in dogfight over Radio Unica
w/schmaltzy version of The Little Drummer Boy, top of hour ID as “This is
KQWB AM West Fargo, your memory station.  Time now for CNN news”, into CNN
