G'Day,
Following a conversation today with the Admin
manager of Christian Voice (Australia), Mr Mike Edmiston, at their Admin Office,
Noosa Heads, Queensland. He confirmed they are testing the Cox Peninsula
transmitters.
Frequencies in use are:
21680; 17775; 13755; 6010.
The six high power units will be tested for a month
("doing the technicals") then short announcements are to be put on air
"announcing our arival into Asia". In the future some program material will be
taken off satellite feed from the UK which is intended for their African
audiance.
Recruitment for permanent staff is still under way
and the position of Senior Technician is still to be filled.
The Chief Engineer (UK), Mr Andrew Flynn, is
currently in Darwin to oversee the commissioning of the
facility.
