FOLLOW UP-------------------------------------------------------------
For Jembatan DX No.100 & 101,
I listened to 3395 RRI Banda Lampung for 3 hours a few nights ago and I
heard many station ids for RRI Banda Lampung. I did not hear RRI
Tanjung Karang mentioned at all nor did I hear the word Tanjung
Karang mentioned. I think we need to go with what the station says
rather than an atlas!
(Sep 11, 2000, Craig Tyson, AUSTRALIA)
Is it Tanjung Karang or Bandar Lampung? I asked the station about this
by telephone. The officer working at the station said to me "bersama".
It means "same". I think this word has two meanings. The one meaning
is
RRI Tanjungkarang and RRI Bandar Lampung are same station. This does
not mean what is the official name of station in present. Another
meaning is present official name is RRI Bandar Lampung but former
name was RRI Tanjungkarang. If the officer answered me with an
intention of only the first meaning, we cannot say RRI Bandar Lampung
is a official name. In addition, when I talked with other officer by
telephone, he said the station name as RRI Tanjungkarang. Also
according to pamphlet which I got at RRI Jakarta visitting in August
this year, The official name is written as RRI Tanjungkarang. I think
the official name is still RRI Tanjungkarang. But we must reserch
still more.
