PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3275, R. Southern Highlands, 1018-1024, Talk by man with
mentions of Karai, "...radio station...", Southern Highlands, and "...R.
Southern Highlands studio". Sounded like a detailed program schedule. TC.
Nice official ID with TC during talk at 1023. Into native choral music.
Good signal. All PNGs on except 3345, 3375, 3245, 3385, 3395, and 4890.

3290, R. Central, 1023-1033, Talk by man with community bulletin board for
events in August and September. Guitar music with ad by man with mention
of 15 September, Goroka, "enrollment", and R. Central. Ad with discussion
between man and woman with mention of Central Province. Into C&W music.
Muffled woman took over at 1036. Good. 3305 also on but pretty weak.

3220, R. Morobe, 1040-1048, "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang. Muffled
woman announcer (sounded same one as on R. Central!!). Song announcements,
TC, ID, mention of "...Celebration continues long ?? the day". Good and

3325, R. Bougainville, 1100, Music bridge by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana
Brass, ID by man " ?? National Broadcasting Corporation, R. Bougainville ??
. The time now is 9 o'clock". Fair with Guatemala QRM. (Valko 19 August)
PERU 6535.06, R. Huancabamba, 2345-2350, OA campo music, almost Ranchera
sounding. Canned dramatic ID/promo by man at 2350, more music. 2353
another announcement with mention of Huancabamba. Weak with occasional CW
and SSB QRM. (Valko 21 August)
