On Tuesday 22 August 2000 what sounds like a
African station, with drums, music and African sounding language has been heard
from 0516 UTC through 0550 UTC on 7210.024 [Benin reported on 7210.26 kHz 19
July by Dave Valko]. SINPO is 45344 and signal strength is -95 dBm. Anybody else
note this station on this frequency? At 0549 female in French with brief
monologue. No noticeable drift in RF during this period.
Quality of signal improved slowly but steadily
during time I listened. Bouncy music at 0554 UTC. No
ID noted on the hour [0600].
