[HCDX] Aurora DX

Hello everywhere,

last night we had severe geomagnetic storm conditions with Kp-index 9. I
partly could observe unusual strong signals from Bolivia and Perú,
especially on 49m. Decreasing signals above 9 MHz, only a few stations came
through. The signals of the Europeans were extremely fluttering. Antenna
used: DX-One Professional.


BOLIVIA

5952.6  R Pio XII, Siglo Veinte, July 15, 2300-2315, Spanish, song festival
in Siglo Veinte, very fine signal with S=9.  SINPO 43423

6024.9  La Voz de Bolivia, La Paz, July 15, 2315-2325, Spanish, Andean
music, ID: "La Voz de Bolivia, la radio que vos acompaña en todo el país".
SINPO  34423

6054.4  R Juan 23, San Ignacio de Velasco, July 15, 2250-2300, Spanish,
Andean music, the speaker mentioned "Cultura Chiquitana", reception blocked
by REE at 2300.  SINPO  24422

6105.5  R Panamericana, La Paz, July 15, 2325-2330, Spanish, religious
program, ID: "Tiempo con Dios en Panamericana".  SINPO  32422

Besides of that I checked the BOL-frequencies on the tropical bands too.
Here now the results of a quick band check from 2340 to 0000:

4409.8  R Eco, Reyes
4471.7  R Movima
4552.3  R Trópico
4649     R Santa Ana
4681.3  R Paitití (presumed)
4702.3  R Eco, San Borja
4716.8  R Yura (excellent signal with S=9)
4796.4  R Mallku

PERÚ

4955  R Cultura Amauta, Huanta, July 16, 0000-0005, Spanish, Andean music
and clear ID by woman.  SINPO  23222

6173.8  R Tawantinsuyo, Cusco, July 15, 2330-2340, Spanish, report about a
march or procession in Cusco, ID.  Normally this station is very difficult
to receive here in Europe. Today however relatively good signal with SINPO
23422.

6328.8  Estación C (presumed), Moyobamba, July 16, 0005-0010, huayno music,
very weak signal.  SINPO  14321

No traces at all from the other 45m-Peruvians!
