On the excellent media-site of radiovisie I read
that there are problems for several Dutch MW-tx.
The local council of Rotterdam is not planning to
give a new license (an enviromental, that is) for the tx-site of Arrow Classic
Rock broadcasting on 828. The same applies for the council of Montfoort who is
giving Business Nieuws Radio on 1395 a bad summer as they are also claiming that
they are not willing to renew the enviromental licence necessary to operate a
broadcasttransmitter in Holland. Ofcourse, all the councils are "inspired" by
all these reports claiming transmitters can do harm to people living
nearby.
Also Haagstad Radio 1485 has a bit of a problem.
They do not need an enviromental licence as their tx is < 5 Kw. but local
residents living near the site in Leidschendam (near The Hague) found out that
there was never a building-licence or permit issued for their
antenna-mast...
