ONe of the biggest problems with the 2010 is the battery compartment.  Just
for giggles, remove the main batteries and go to the mains and see if that
improves the situation.  Why, well this will seperate the problem.  Also
remove the memory batteries, AA types and clean the ends with a little sand
paper, rough up a bit and reinstall.  That radio is pretty good except for
the battery compartment.  Really a poor setup.  Hope you have not opened the
radio.  If you do, do NOT move the battery contact pins.  Oh boy, what a job
getting them lined up again.  I did once.  Dumb move on my part.
