Hi Ruud-

According to an e-mail to Greg Myers in Virginia, Emissora Rural has
appointed a consultant to answer reception reports. I have seen a number of
QSLs reported now. I e-mailed the station on 19 Mar and their QSL was
postmarked from Petrolina on 21 Mar.

The e-mail was not answered, so I don't know if the e-mail helped or they
are just happening to answer all reports. My report was from October 1997. A
cassette sent then and also in a follow-up in July 1998, the last time I
wrote the station. I mentioned this in the e-mail and attached the written
part of my original report.

As for the QSL: It is a picture of (I assume) Petrolina and the back is in
English- with "ham" style information (they give THEIR antenna and "rig" and
the freq listed as QRG and time as QRT). The address on the card  and
envelope matches the 2000 WRTH except "centro" is added to the end of the
street location. They also enclosed a nice picture of the station and a
colorful sticker. Others have received the same. The consultant's name is
Jose Lourinaldo Cavalcanti Andrade (e-mail jlcandrade@xxxxxxxxxx), but my
card was signed by the Gerente (something like "Pe. Bicuielei"). I think
Jose signed Greg's card.
