Re: [HCDX]: PC sound processing : cooledit

There is also another very good idea with the program Cool edit
if you aleady have made any signals first recorded in tape

Cooledit can cancel out at a degree ( how to say this?) soem background noise provided
at first you sample out part of background noise then cancel it out

Cooledit with its spectrum analyzer facility you can also have a graph containing your
audio spectrum (also real time in case you play it from the program) and have at same
time a modulation index and see at same time any QRM that might exist in the
predetermined audio band

If someone has any questions ( more particularly for the spectrum analyzer) on how to do
it please let me know . For the moment part of this idea is on theoretical basis ( did
not try) but i m sure for the results

I have used this progarm to cancel our background (tape) hiss from a very low lelvel
recording and many times to use it as a means to make MP3 s from Hf recoirded songs ( by
enhancing the higher freqincies)

Exceopt this Cooledit is very good with its FFT techniques to notch , peak ,distort
any audio ( and much more)
More on this program on Syntrillium site
