RE: [HCDX]: Unid Asian on 6003.97 kHz

I haven't had a chance to listen to your recordings yet (not much time with work
to do much DX-ing either!) but I did have a listen on the 6000-6005 neighborhood
on 25 January during my local pre-dawn (1450-1505 UTC). There was a Japanese
language station on 6003.00, with no sign of any station around 6004. I perused
some back issues of the NASWA newsletter. On 12 October Don Nelson in Beaverton,
Oregon heard NHK-Sapporo on 6005, parallel to 3970. I tried 3970, and sure
enough, 3970 had a Japanese station in parallel with what I was hearing on
6003.00. I'm assuming I was hearing NHK-Sapporo also. At first I thought this
can't be your unknown, it's almost a kHz off where you heard it, 14 hours later
in the day. But it was 2 kHz off where Don Nelson heard it in October. So I'm
wondering if your unknown is NHK-Sapporo, and if so, they have quite a drifting
problem.
