The UN have 3 postal administrations, one in New York (USA), one in
Geneva (Switzerland), and one in Vienna (Austria).

Each of these issue their own stamps. Most of the stamps are issued
together among all three, with the individual ones using their local
currency, and with their own design but fitting into the overall
design of a serie. 

The UN Postal Administration in New York also issues the flag series,
that is stamps where each one represents a flag of one of the UN
member countries (I do have them all!).

As always with stamps, you can buy them for a certain time after
issue, but the special editions usually are not available any more
beyond one year after first issue. This also is true in many aspects
for QSL, isn't it?
