THE AUSTRALASIAN SHORTWAVE GUIDE - EDITION #8

I am very pleased to announce that Edition Number 8 of the popular
hard-copy authoritative AUSTRALASIAN SHORTWAVE GUIDE is now available.
Listeners in Australia who ordered in advance received their copies on
November 29! 

ASWG8 is issued twice a year, in May and December and draws on the global
resources supporting the weekly Electronic DX Press E-mailed shortwave
newsletter. Edition #8 of ASWG is 24 pages, A4 format, professionally
printed and saddle stitched, with over 1600 entries for B99 schedules for
broadcasts: 

(a) in ALL languages targeted to Australia and the Pacific

(b) broadcasts in ENGLISH for Asia, the Far East, the Indian sub-continent,
and Siberia. 

The data is arranged in two sections: by order of STUDIO COUNTRY and
STARTING TIME. Each entry shows frequency, studio country, organisation,
transmitter country, transmitter location, start time, end time, language,
broadcast days, and other details. The data is updated to November 25, and
covers the B99 international transmission period B99 from October 31, 1999
to March 25, 2000. ASWG is only available via postal mail. 

Cost is A$10 for delivery to Australian addresses, or US$10 / A$15
elsewhere (airmail). The charge covers necessary expenses in editorial
research, printing, packaging and mailing, and ASWG is a not-for-profit
project. ASWG is not available electronically.

Payment and orders should be made to Bob Padula, 404 Mont Albert Road,
Surrey Hills, Victoria 3127, Australia. Remittances from outside of
Australia should be in cash (any currency, equivalent to US$10 / A$15), or
by cheque/ postal order/ GIRO/ bank draft/ bank cheque/ cashier's cheque,
to yield A$15. Payment by 10 IRCs is also acceptable.

Listeners in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands can purchase the ASWG from
