I
found out some additional information from the person who used to work on the
transmitter when it was at Florence, sharing a tower with
1460.
Disney
disposed of all the old equipment in Florence and bought in brand-new
everything for the antenna farm on North Pemberton Road, Pemberton Township. New
audio equipment, new transmitter, new feedlines, new connectors, repairs to the
towers and the ground system is no longer elevated.
Apparently the old equipment was patched, clipped, and
in pretty tough shape. I am not being affected by the splatter and spurious
signals like before, despite the 50 kw D line of sight from my high antenna, so
I can only attribute it to the new installs and the controls on the
audio.
Now,
if we could only do something about the program content... locals miss the old
content and don't like kiddies playing radio.
