[HCDX]: Invitation: CNY SWL Net Picnic

UNITED STATES John Storsberg, N2DCI, has asked me to pass along this
announcement for those within traveling distance of Central New York
State.  The Central New York Shortwave Listeners' Net will hold its 11th
annual Shortwave and Scanner Picnic on Saturday, September 11th from 9
A.M. to 6 P.M. at Clay Central Park, next to the North Area Y.M.C.A. at
the corner of Wetzel Road and Henry Clay Boulevard in Clay, New York (near
the city of Syracuse).  Admission is free, but a dish to pass is
appreciated; please note that alcohol is not allowed in the park.  All
family members are welcome; there is a playground for children.
Participants are welcome to bring shortwave and other radios, antennas,
scanners, amateur radio gear, or any other hobby-related equipment they'd
like to show off.  There will be a generator to supply power for the
radios.  The picnic will be held inside the park pavilion rain or shine.
