Hi:

I have used a Drake R8 since 1992 and have loved the receiver. It has
been the best receiver I have ever used. The MW DX on the unit has been
very good. The Australian X Banders are common here on the Northern
Oregon coast nightly, eg 1701, 1683, 1674, 1665 khz etc. As a MW machine
is is very good.
