[HCDX]: MW Logs from S.Africa

720 19h30 8/3 AUSTRALIA 6WF Perth. Report on life of Joe DiMaggio, fair with
much local QRN. Running in parallel with 828 which peaked to good levels at
times. Heard from around 17h00 (7 PM local time) These are the most easy to
hear Aussies from the South Coast of RSA.

810 19h34 8/3 AUSTRALIA 6WA (? - Relay of 558?). With ID as "WA", phone-ins,
talk about books, fair-good.

1053 20h11 8/3 ROMANIA. R.Romania. ID and talking in local lingo presumably
Romanian, fair - heard fairly often lately.

1220 04h08 9/3 USA UNIDENTIFIED. Talk on Joe DiMaggio, ads, then into a talk
show hosted by a Ron_____(surname?), poor and only heard briefly.

1630 04h00 9/3 USA KCJJ Iowa City. Rock & pop mx, many ID's, community
announcements featuring Cedar Rapids among others, poor but fairly
listenable until 04h30  fadeout.

1640 04h11 9/3 USA UNIDENTIFIED. piano music and slowish pop mx, only heard
briefly, poor. (Format doesn't quite agree with known stations altho' the mx
might have been Gospel (2 possibilities)

1660 04h00 9/3 USA UNIDENTIFIED w sport results, poor (WQSN?)

1670 04h20 9/3 USA WTDY Madison. Clear ID and not much else, poor.

1680 03h55 9/3 USA WJNZ (Presumed). "1680 Jams, Hip Hop and RnB....." but no
clear callsign ID. Format matches perfectly and seems to be the only choice
on this fqy. All kinds of Rap, Soul, RnB was played plus ads for a comedy
show on April 3rd. fair-poor

1690 04h30 8/3 USA KDDZ (Presumed). Radio Disney ID's and an ad for a
Treasure Hunt plus a song by Boyz II Men, fair-poor.

Receiver: Icom R-70
Antenna: approx 150m of draped over a few bushes at a holiday resort at
Still Bay on the south coast of RSA. (In my opinion about 850m too short but
it worked fairly well nevertheless ;-))

I need addresses for the 1630 & 1680 if anyone can please help (the name
Patrick Martin springs to mind at this point .....;-))

I feel quite fortunate in that I've managed to log a station on every X-band
freq from 1620 up to 1700 now.
