[HCDX]: LRA 36

Hello everywhere,

Radio Nacional San Gabriel came in here in Germany yesterday on 15475.8 kHz
with surprisingly good signal. The program consisted of tango music, sports
news and general information about Argentina. Better reception on DX-One
antenna (S=5/7). Here now the logging in detail:


ANTARCTICA

15475.8,  Radio Nacional San Gabriel, Base Esperanza, March 12, 1950-2110,
Spanish, pop music and tango songs, the tango "La Cumparasita" at around
2035; reflections about the nature ("patrimonio natural de Argentina"); the
speaker said good-bye with the following words: "Gracias por su compañía. En
la tarde de hoy les acompañó en la operación técnica ... Francisco Cuba.
Ciao, hasta mañana."  SINPO  3 5 4 3 3-4

The final ID before closing down at 2110 was as follows: "LRA 36, Radio
Nacional San Gabriel desde la Base Esperanza en territorio antártido de
Argentina, 63 grados 24 minutos ... sur, 56 grados 59 minutos .. oeste, en
la frecuencia de 15476 kHz, banda de 19 metros con 10 kW de potencia..."

As address for reception reports they mentioned Base Esperanza, 9411
Antártida Argentina (WRTH address) followed by two phone numbers (02964
21519 and 21868) and e-mail address: esc38ant@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
