That Time of the Night comes on FM Radio 1 at 10pm local time so that is
what I listen to instead of 9625.
Of course I am a lot closer, in Ontario, just north of the middle of Lake
Ontario, but I get this regularly, sometimes about the same as 6070 from
CFRB Toronto on sw. sometimes worse. usually in the mornings for 6070 ,
and most times for 9625.
Their programming schedule is difficult to find on the web, and I doubt
that I have ever found it. Their sked is not published with regular RCI
skeds. However; by experience they broadcast to the north of Quebec mostly
in regular CBC Radio 1 format from time to time, and at others they
broadcast a program of local canadian "first nations" music, mostly in the
Cree language with English interspersed, followed by country and western
music. Of course they are bound by the Canadian Content rules in thier
music, so they have music also by Inuit musicians like Susan Agluklik (sp?)
and other more local types.
I enjoy listening to it for its downright folksy attitude, and I don't
remember a similar program since I used to listen to the "Mokamee
Mountaineers" in Labrodor when I was doing consulting work there in the 60's.
(of course I only understand parts of the cree broadcast (the english parts
which are frequent)
yadda.... Sorry to ramble.

I watched a program on CBC TV in the fall made by a Toronto filmmaker, and
was impressed with the struggle.
Viva Ramona, Viva Marcos!!
When they are not incessantly broadcasting *hockey* there is some excellent
programming on CBC TV in spite of the cutbacks.
A new program manager, whose name I forget has been assigned in the Toronto
studios I believe, and he seems to want to take the average age of the
listeners from 33y and over to something a little lower, several changes in
format have been introduced including the dreaded 90 second station breaks
at regular intervals. This is a production center feed, and not a national
one.
There are often misleading station identifications such as "you are
listening to 89.3 Maynooth, while listening to 93.5 Peterborough *or* 107.5
Kingston FM, and I assume 99.1 Toronto.
99.1 in Toronto is the only Radio 1 source which broadcasts in stereo.
When I have listened to it in Toronto, it seemed like a L=R stereo. Maybe
not.
Thought you may like to be updated on things in Eastern Ontario.
