Hello, Paul.

The way is:
Hold the "Ctrl" key and press the ' key (the quote key or "), then the
letter to which you would like to add the mark.

For example to get á you should type "Ctrl+' " followed by the letter a.

If this doesn't work, use the old method with the "Alt" key, thet is

á    Press and hold "Alt" and key 161 on the numeric keypad
é    "Alt+130"
í    "Alt+161"
ó    "Alt+162"
ú    "Alt+163"

If you have a Mac computer, I can't help!
