Re: [HCDX]: Fine Tuning

Far as I know those responsible for Fine Tuning have disappeared into
the sunset with yours, mine, and god knows how many other's money. Not
even so much as a farewll note explaining why. Despicable behavior, but
perhaps they just don't care. I will find the email addresses and names
of the Fine Tuning editors and post them as soon as I get a chance. Past
email to them, even in better days, never got a response as far as I
remember. I doubt if emailing them now will either, but at least putting
their names up in public might elicit a response from them. Until they
provide all the honest subscribers to Fine Tuning an adequate
explanation for their failure to deliver, I consider them as
irresponsible, at best. Shame on them. Not even the fine folks at
Monitoring Times, who usually have the inside dope, seem to know what
happened to them!

To be exactly correct, the money for subscriptions was NOT sent to these
editors, but to another address. Still, if I were listed as an editor,
I'd feel a need to explain what happened to my fellow PAYING hobbyists.
If fifty people paid over $20 for a subscription and then didn't get
it, that's a thousand dollars!

I did see one Fine Tuning editor recently post something about his
recent personal DXpedition to one of the shortwave groups. I am
considering contacting the police in the hometown of the person who did
receive the money. Fine Tuning, without a proper explanation, is
possibly guilty of using the mails to defraud, which I believe is a
felony. I don't like getting ripped off, especially when I, in good
conscience, recommended them to a friend. Any others out there who were
subscribers can also send me email and I will supply their names, if
requested, to the police and/or postal authorities if they think it is
warranted.

Come on you people responsible for Fine Tuning, we deserve an honest
explanation as to what happened. Let's have it.
