EDITOR NOTICE - Next TFW # 56 will be in short version: from next March

DX MEETINGS

A.I.R. DX MEETING - With the great loss of our President, next A.I..R.
(Associazione Italiana Radioascolto) DX Meeting will be held here in
Italy on May 1, 2 and 3 1998 in Sirolo, Marche Region. AIR DX Meeting

EDXC - The 36 th annual European DX Council conference will be held from
27 to 30 August 1998. The conference venue will be the Radio Museum in
Gothenburg, Sweden, with accomodation in near by hotels. The conference
programme includes a get together party on Thursday 27 evening, opening
ceremonies and reception on Friday 28, a visit to the special Longwave
station facilities in Grimeton as well as banquet on Saturday 29 and
closing ceremonies on Sunday 30. (Play DX # 966 Jan. 26  1998)

RADIO FEST 98 - The Ontario DX Association invites radio enthusiasts of
all interests and all levels to join us for the event of the year, Radio
Fest 98. This 1998 convention of the ODXA promises to be one of the best
events in recent years for radio hobbyists. Regular releases will be
distributed and we invite you to pass them on to anyone whom you believe
would be interested. Here are the details to this time:  Dates: Friday,
October 2 through Sunday, October 4.  Location: Mohawk College,
Hamilton, Ontario. Theme: "Communications Into Our Future". Registration
Fees : USD 15 for the entire convention, USD 5 for one-day attendance. 
Accomodations : local hotels and motels.  Topics to be Covered (more
will be added as we line up speakers and presenters) : Antenna Basics;
Mediumwave Loop Building Workshop; History of Canadian Radio;
Introduction to Shortwave Radio; Game Show (a fun event for everyone);
Radio Astronomy.  Saturday Night Banquet : A keynote speaker will be
announced shortly.  Prizes : Many exciting prizes will be available in

First, I did not believe from Nigeria site: signal was as strong and

1025- 3330.43- PERU- Radio Ondas de Huallaga 1025-1035 Noted man in
comments with ID. This followed by music with comments over. Possilby
romantic comments considering the tone. Signal was good, but CHU cause

1030- 4855.54- PERU- Radio La Hora 1030-1105 Noted man in Spanish
comments, TC's and ID followed with music. Signal was fair at beginning

1030- 3339.94- PERU- Radio Altura 1030-1045 Long period of comments from
a man followed by canned ID, "Radio Altura ...", then into Huaynos

1045- 1045- 5995.26- PERU-  Radio Melodia 1045-1100 Noted two man in
conversation. Since station moved up in frequency, have noted Radio 
Melodia staying in for longer period of time, well pass sunrise. Canned
