[HCDX]: News about North American AM stations - Part 1

Message to the subscribers of Hard-Core-DX:

In the following I've collected some newsworthy items about North American
AM stations based on my own listening experiences, mostly from a recent
DXpedition here in Finland (for a more comprehensive overview check out: 
www.clinet.fi/~mtm/dx/lem112.htm) and the resulting verifications. 

Message to the editors of NRC AM Radio Log:

You might want to use some of this information when updating the NRC AM
Radio Log as well as the parallel publication about Mexican radio
stations. Some e-mail addresses are listed in case you would consider
adding that information to the next edition. These first-hand news items
are based on listening to the stations in question (November '97 to
January '98) and verifications received by me personally. 

Message to Esa Hanninen:

Olen nyt saanut LEM112-pediksen raportit matkaan ja qusojakin putoilee

		different nights at 0640 and at 0300, so may be 24h
1030	XEBCC	new slogan "Estereo Gaviota", not stereo AM, but
		referrring to FM 100.5, which they simulcast. Listed in
		the WRTH as 1200-0500, but heard already at 0918 UTC.
1410	XEBS	v/s Gustavo Alvite Martinez, Director de Programacion (del
		Nucleo Radio Mil)
1550	XENU	new modified slogan: "La Rancherita de Nuevo Laredo"
		(heard on many occasions, but never with "La Poderosa" listed in
		the WRTH)
		Listed in the WRTH at 1200-0100, but heard already at 1120
		UTC.
