[HCDX]: OFF-TOPIC: North Korean speakers silent

NORTH KOREA

Japanese newspaper The Sankei Shinbun reported on Dec. 31 that North
Korea's direct speaker broadcasts across the 38th parallel have recently
been silent due to power shortage and ageing equipment. North Korea
broadcasts political propaganda via loudspeakers along the DMZ to South
Korean residents who live near the border. On the air and on the ground,
the situation in the Great Leader's paradise seems exactly the same.
