[HCDX]: NEWS: VOFC => Taipei R. Int.

TAIWAN

I'm sure many of you already know this, but the VOFC's new address as from
January 1, 1998, will be 55 Peian Road, Taipei, Taiwan, which is the same
as the Central Broadcasting System. Does that mean the new "Taipei Radio
International" will come under the Defense Ministry (which operated the
CBS) while the VOFC was part of the Broadcasting Corporation of China,
hence a private enterprise? Interesting. (Know anything, Doc?)

I *LOVE* the VOFC for its brave speech often critical of the government who
pays them to do so. Honestly I've been fascinated by their political
commentaries since the KMT lost the election last weekend.

Will TRI be able to do the same? I sincerely hope so.
