[HCDX]: World of Radio 10/29 TYPO corrected
WORLD OF RADIO SCHEDULE--as of October 29, 1997 from Glenn Hauser
WORLD OF RADIO SCHEDULE, SHORT VERSION effective October 29:
NOTE: this reflects time shifts for winter after DST is over; and
includes more changes since last posting a few days ago!
On WWCR Nashville, Thu 2130 15685, Sat 0700 5070 AND 3210, Sat 1230
5070, Sun 0230 5070, Sun 0730 5070 [NEW; Sun 1000 3210 deleted], Mon
0400 3215, Tue 1330 15685.
On RFPI Costa Rica: Fri 2000, Sat 0400, 1100, 1800, Sun 0200,
0900, 2300, Mon 0700, Tue 1900, Wed 0300, 1000--on 15050 AM in
1900-2400 period, 7385 2200-1200, 6970-USB 0000-1200.
On WGTG, Georgia, UT Tue 0500 on 5085-USB. If the tape
arrives before Monday additional unscheduled times may occur,
such as UT Mon 0600 on 5085-USB or on 9400 Sat, Sun daytime. If
the tape does not arrive until Tuesday, backup time is UT Wed at
0600 (Hauser, Oct 29)

Updated weekly or as needed. Please publicize at least the
WWCR, RFPI and WGTG portion, and delete any outdated times from
your lists. All times and days UT. Subtract 6 hours from UT for
CST. W.O.R. is a listener-supported, public-service program
about communications around the world, especially, but not
limited to, Shortwave Broadcasting. Look for separately
distributed rundowns of topics in each half-hour edition, or on
our website, which also gives complete details on our Spanish
broadcasts, publications, contact info, etc.:

*CONTINENT OF MEDIA (COM) is an additional half-hour carried
only by RFPI, produced about once a month and repeated weekly
until a new edition arrive, on a new schedule: Wed 2300 on 15050,
7385; Thu 0700 on 7385, 6970-USB; and also at unscheduled times
when available. It deals primarily with domestic media
developments in North America. The November edition starts Nov 5.

UT Tuesdays at 0500 on 5085-USB or late Monday night at midnight
EDT. If the tape arrive before Monday, it may appear at
additional unscheduled times, such as UT Mon 0600 on 5085-USB;
Sat, Sun daytime on 9400. If the tape does not arrive until

Check WRN website for latest info and plans to restore the W.O.R.
archive back to Oct 1995. Recent audio editions may also be
downloaded via our website link to WRN; see below. WRN is also on
some cable and FM relays.
W.O.R. is also on other WRN One services, generally not
available on consumer satellite equipment, but via cable systems,
where WRN1 may be selected from an audio menu; more details at
WRN website. W.O.R. schedule to Mideast and Africa, Asia and
Pacific: Sat 1700. Times and days here are strictly UT, effective
from Oct 26, 1997.
C-SPAN Audio on cable also relays WRN, perhaps including W.O.R.
Sun 1:30 am Eastern? But not at noon Sat.
