R-388 ANT.: 33 meter (NE-SW) Longwire "T" --- On the afternoon of 25
Oct., went up to the Dip QTH for the sole purpose of logging Star R. on
5880. Had to use a closer alternate site as the road to the usual site
was too muddy. Strung out a 500 foot Beverage at roughly 85 degrees
through the woods and onto the stripcut. Conditions were about normal
at best.

Series in Spanish. Thanks to NBC-TV's Bob Costas for the tip! NOTE: As
I write this (after 0300 UTC 10/24), Radio Marti is carrying Game 5 of
the World Series between the Cleveland Indians and the Florida Marlins.
The main reason behind this is that a former star pitcher of the Cuban
national team, Livan Hernandez, started the game for the Florida
Marlins. TV Marti was being jammed by the Cuban government, but Radio
Marti was getting through, according to sources at NBC-TV. ---BUENEMAN,
