at S9+20 and better, sometimes stronger than WABC.  Whatever
technical problems this station may have had now seem to be

romantic vocal.  This station was noted on 837 a few days later:
it's not the first time this has jumped back to its correct 9-kHz-

PP talk; strong, evenly mixing w/ Canaries SS talk.  Just because 
this has reappeared on 837, don't discount the possibility of it

Report" talking about the day's 139 point advance in the Dow-
Jones average; HUGE signal, amazing for the distance.  A
British station was way under w/ a woman doing a teletalk or

1559   unID (Middle East ?), OCT 22 0004 - bits of AA talk & a 
big het against the residue of phase-nulled WQEW-1560.  This
station has been noted in Spain and it might be the "Iraqi
Army Radio" anti-Saddam Hussein clandestine that shows up on

1566   INDIA, All India R., Nagpur-Buttibori, OCT 22 0022 -
Indian-accented EE talk by a woman mentioned agriculture and
trade topics, then the words "external service"; poor to fair
at best.  I had to chase a jumpy phase null of WQEW's slop to 
pull this through.  By 0030, the channel became jumbled w/ Iran 
& others getting into the mix.  Getting India made sitting in 
the car on a cold night at the Rowley salt-marsh well worth
