Indeed! I have been hoping for many years for the MW band in the USA
to be replaced by a digital band for just that reason. If the MW band
in developed countries like the USA were emptied of 90% of the
stations, I think MW DXing would be a lot like it was in the 1920s
and 1930s. I remember reading an old 1930s radio magazine and a
MW DXer in the eastern US in a letter complained about she had only
logged 34 Australian stations that season.
