NORTH KOREA

In addition to yesterday's report that Radio Pyongyang was heard in German
1800-1900 on Aug. 7, the same frequency (feeder) was observed carrying
Russian from 1800 on Aug. 8. No other frequencies were audible on either
days because I live too close to the transmitter (2000 km) and the MUF
drops to below 5 MHz on some nights. 1800 UTC is 3 a.m. in Korea and Japan.
