The Finnish Radio Amateurs have their Annual Summer meeting this year on
July 10-13 in Laukaa near Jyvaskyla. The Summer Meeting radio station Radio
Hami will operate on FM 102,6 MHz with 50W and on AM 1584 kHz with at least
4W; radiated power may be 50W if certain parts are received on time.

The AM-transmission will start at 2000 UTC on July 10th and last till the
end of the meeting. The arrangers hope DX-ers will try to tune into the
station and either call +358-800-13694 during the transmission or write to
Radio Hami, P.O.Box 44, FIN-00441 Helsinki.

These transmissions are unique as all private AM-broadcasts ceased in
Finland in the end of the 1920's when YLE began operation. Until that time
most of the AM-stations where based on local HAM-clubs.
