Hello everyone,

After another 18 hour workday I decided to check the bands around 1600 UTC and found a strong opening towards the Middle East and West Asia. Xinjiang PBS outlets were booming in as well as Pakistan and Russia.

Interesting signals on 4910 and 4840 kHz, both sounding suspiciously like Africans, which would make sense as they gray-line just touches east Africa at that time. Only problem is no Africans listed on 4840 kHz.

Only two loggings made:

Armenia 
4810 Voice of Armenia 1640-1646 SINPO: 54444; Lang: ??; Man talking in Arabic sounding language (Persian listed in WRTH around this time). //4990 kHz same strength, but more QRM. (Jun 13, Boogert)  	
Russia 
4860 Radio Nostalgie 1621-1631 SINPO: 44434; Lang: Russian; Old rock and disco music. Simple "Radio Nostalgie" jingle. //7210 kHz. Very strong tonight and AIR hardly audible underneath. (Jun 13, Boogert)
