Dear Friends,

I feel a bit cheeky about writing the following message, but it's a shame to
miss good opportunities.
I am coming to the USA for a holiday at the end of August 1997 with my family.
I am wondering if there are any kindred spirits who would like to meet up - for
a meal, a tour of your shack or whatever......
I am 47 years, a wife Barbara who is a linguist and an active member of Amnesty
International.  My daughter is 13, musical and house-trained.
I work in local government, and also I am a semi-professional jazz guitarist.

We are staying with friends on our holiday, and will hire a car.  

Itinerary:
20.8.97 Depart Manchester    1300
        Arrive JFK, NY       1525
        Depart JFK           1725
        Arrive BOSTON        1845  (collect car)

24.8.97 Depart Boston        0935  (return car)
        Arrive Cincinnati    1148
        Depart Cincinnati    1240
        Arrive SAN FRANCISCO 1430  (collect car)

2.9.97  Depart LOS ANGELES   0940  (return car)
        Arrive JFK, NY       1755
        Depart JFK           2000

3.9.97  Arrive Manchester    0745

I have never been to USA before - I understand it may be larger than the UK -
I'll therefore leave it up to you to work out whether it might be feasible to
meet. :-)

Seriously, don't anybody feel under any obligation here - we have got
accommodation sorted out and flexible (using friends' houses).  Just might be
nice to meet a "Cousin" in Drake country.
